Elise and Ryan’s Epic Warehouse Wedding

If there ever was a wedding that was the expression of SHEER JOY, then this is it. Third time was a charm for Elise and Ryan’s warehouse wedding at The Line in Footscray, who up until a few days prior, didn't even know if they could attend their own wedding here in Melbourne.

These two gorgeous humans had already has to postpone their wedding twice and just days before their third attempt their hometown of Perth went into lockdown.

They made it to Melbourne just 3 days before their wedding and THE MOST EPIC JOYOUS CELEBRATION EVER was to follow. I photographed this wedding at the end of my (and the entire wedding industry’s) busiest few month ever (thanks COVID for creating a mammoth season of work in 2021!)

On the back of COVID, it was the perfect celebration to end a tumultuous 18 months for everyone- couples and wedding folk alike and OH MY did it go off with a BANG!

“Can I use all the words that mean amazing, wonderful, talented and a star to describe Dee?
It took us three dates and around two years from our first meeting with Dee to get to our wedding day celebration.
Dee stuck with us through all of the changes and challenges that came through in 2020.
I could not be more thankful for the support Dee gave us through the process while she herself was managing a business impacted through the events of 2020. This was never a sticking point for Dee however, who made sure she helped us every step of the way.
And then on the day - wow - we could not have asked for a more perfect day and Dee captured it! Dee is more than a photographer, she is an amazing artist and for me on the day she was by my side for support and always making us laugh. Dee is an utmost professional, but at the same time makes the day fun and easy! We were stunned watching Dee work, seeking light angles and frames. Her talent for what she does is second to none.
Our photos are one of the few things we can take away from the day and Dee has provided us with a way to experience the best day of our lives over and over. We couldn’t believe it when our first sneak peak photos arrived the day after the wedding. And we have been similarly blown away around a month later getting the full set! While in our memories it was the perfect day, Dee has captured it in the perfect set of photos as proof. We cannot wait for our photo book to also arrive.
We are so grateful we found Dee and got to share this roller coaster ride of planning, re-planning and planning again for a covid wedding!”
